BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The 2026 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), honors the nation's top student-athletes for their achievements both on the court and in the classroom. The Cal State Bakersfield Athletics Department is proud to congratulate Morgan Hawkins and Zalissa Finley on earning Academic All-District® recognition.
Morgan Hawkins
A Sophomore from Corona, California, Morgan Hawkins earned Academic All-District® honors for her exceptional performance during the 2025-26 season. As a key player for the CSUB women's basketball team, she appeared in 27 of 30 games, averaging 34.1 minutes a game as one of Bakersfield's starting guards, starting 25 of her 27 games. Hawkins finished the season averaging 8.9 points per game while leading the Roadrunner's in assists with 73. Majoring in Sociology, she also posted an impressive 3.59 GPA.
Zalissa Finley
A Junior from Inchelium, Washington, Zalissa Finley earned Academic All-District® honors for her consistent performance during the 2025-26 season. As an important contribution to the CSUB women's basketball team, she played in 28 of 30 games, averaging 7.4 minutes a game as a part of the backbone of Bakersfield. Finley finished the season averaging 1 point per game, having 3 blocks and 6 steals. Majoring in Accounting, she posted a stron 3.57 GPA.

To be nominated for Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must be starters and maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA—one of the highest academic standards for awards in collegiate athletics.
