`Runners Ready to Open Spring Season with Big West Tri

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - After a three month pause from competition, the Cal State Bakersfield women's golf team are ready to open their spring season of competition. This week's action features a tri-match with Big West pair CSUN and Long Beach State, at Soule Park Golf Club in Ojai, Calif., on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

The Competition
  • One round of 18 holes of stroke play
  • Shotgun starts at 8 a.m. (PT)
  • The low four scores of five players will count towards the team total.
  • In case of a tie for the first place team, the fifth player's score will serve as the tiebreaker.
  • In case of a tie for the Individual title, the back nine scores will serve as the tiebreaker. If a tile remains, the last six holes on the back nine will serve as the tiebreaker.

  • Ranked best municipal golf course in Golf Weekly magazine in 2014.
  • Designed by William F. Bell in 1962, who was also responsible for designed world-famous golf course, Torrey Pines.
