`Runners Close UNM Team Open with Solid Results

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The CSU Bakersfield women's indoor track and field team closed out the UNM Team Open on Saturday with another solid set of results. The Roadrunners enjoyed Miranda Miller's competitive performance in a tough pole vault field as well as good times from the CSUB runners.

Miller placed second in a hotly-contested pole vaulting field behind only professional vaulter Kortney Ross. Miller posted a vault of 13-06.25 after breezing through her first three heights, good enough for the second-best indoor vault of her career.
Julia Stein led the `Runners in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing 20th in the field of 39 with a PR time of 9.14.
Julie Johnson (58.40) and Julia Stein (58.41) came in back-to-back in the 400, finishing just one hundredth of a second off each other.
The 4x400 relay team of Riley Slayton, Stein, Jaztyn Greer, and Johnson paced ninth overall with a time of 4:00.79.
Nerissa Thompson's 7.85 paced CSUB in the 60-meter dash, placing 24th of 56 sprinters.
