CSUB Athletics Launches ‘Give 661’ Initiative

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Fresh off a record-breaking academic year during which more than $1 million was raised to support the futures and the educations of Roadrunner student-athletes, CSU Bakersfield Athletics is excited to kickstart the 2022-23 campaign with the announcement of the Give 661 initiative.

`Runner fans will have the opportunity to support their favorite teams after every home victory by giving "661" to the Roadrunner Scholarship Fund (RSF). As CSUB student-athletes are earning wins to make the University and the greater 661 area code proud, the Give 661 initiative encourages fans and friends of CSUB Athletics to donate $6.61, $66.10, or $661 after a home win to celebrate their favorite teams.

Donations will be accepted online at the RSF Give Now page.

In addition, during the 2022-23 season, one home event per sport will be selected as a Roadrunner Scholarship Game, where a portion of the ticket proceeds will go directly to the respective team's scholarship fund. The Fall sports' Roadrunner Scholarship Games are listed below:

Men's Soccer: Oct. 5 vs. UC Santa Barbara
Women's Soccer: Oct. 20 vs. UC San Diego
Volleyball: Nov. 5 vs. UC Santa Barbara
