CSUB Scholar-Athletes Notch 3.21 Fall GPA

Roadrunners continue streak with 22nd-consecutive academic term above 3.00

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Cal State Bakersfield scholar-athletes once again excelled in the classroom as evidenced by the Roadrunners collectively posting a 3.21 grade point average (GPA) during the Fall 2025 semester, marking the 22nd-consecutive academic term that CSUB has been able to boast a department-wide GPA higher than a 3.00. Fueled by dedication to their scholarly pursuits, CSUB's student-athletes currently have a 3.23 cumulative GPA, just 0.02 below the department record set after Spring 2022.

Leading the CSUB Athletics Department during the Fall semester was the `Runner women's golf team, which collectively posted a 3.74 GPA, while 11 of CSUB's 15 programs registered term GPAs of 3.00 or better. The indoor volleyball team clocked in at 3.65 while beach volleyball earned an impressive 3.52 GPA. The Bakersfield men's soccer team registered a 3.40 GPA this Fall with Roadrunner Baseball close behind at 3.33.

In total, 154 Roadrunners finished the Fall 2025 semester with term grade point averages higher than 3.25 and earned Dean's List honors. Meanwhile 219 of CSUB's scholar-athletes (70% of the Department) boast cumulative GPAs of 3.00 or better and qualified for the Athletics Director's Honor Roll.

Twenty four `Runner scholar-athletes, representing ten different teams, posted perfect 4.00 GPAs during the most recent semester:

Beach Volleyball: Kendall Kaelin, Megan Avery, Rhianna Lane
Wrestling: Mikah Labuanan, Tristen Lorraine
Women's Golf: Ashlee Kresha
