Big West Announces 2022-23 Women's Basketball Schedule

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Big West Conference announced the home-and-away matchups for the 2022-23 women's basketball season. A new round robin format has been drawn and approved by league officials as teams will play both at home and away week to week. Games will be played primarily on Thursday and Saturday with a pair of Monday and Wednesday contests thrown in.

CSU Bakersfield enters the twelfth year under head coach Greg McCall after reaching the conference semifinals for the first time since joining the Big West. The Roadrunners return three starters from last season, including Big West All-Freshmen Team honoree Hennie van Schaik.

A group of six incoming players will also look to bolster the lineup. Transfers Taylor Caldwell (GCU), Shaunae Brown (Canisius College), Shayley Harris (Santa Clara), and Grace Hunter (FIU) will add veteran experience, while the freshmen duo of Julia Riley (Granite Bay HS) and Morgan Edwards (Redondo Union HS) will aim to make early contributions.
