Urias, Loomer Win Twice in Tri-Meet at Cal Poly, Air Force

SAN LUIS OPBISPO – Albert Urias and Josh Loomer each won twice, but CSU Bakersfield fell in both ends of a tri-meet with Air Force and Cal Poly, in San Luis Obispo, Sunday afternoon. The Roadrunners lost a non-conference dual with the Falcons, 25-9, before losing in conference action against the host Mustangs, 21-18.
 
Bakersfield fell for the second time this week to a Pac-12 rival despite winning five of ten bouts. CSUB was outlasted earlier in the week at Stanford by an identical three-point margin.
 
Urias is currently riding a six-match winning streak and finishes off the week with a perfect 3-0 record, including a pair of wins against ranked opponents. He beat Air Force's #30 Sam Wolf in the sudden victory frame, before using a third-period escape to sneak past Cal Poly's Nathan Tausch in the night cap.
 
Looper defeated Air Force's Cole Forrester and Cal Poly's Trent Tracy to improve to 5-4 in dual meets this season.
 
Josh Brown added a win in CSUB's loss to Air Force, while Chance Rich, Brock Rogers and Jacob Sieder were all victorious against Cal Poly.

* Chance Rich (133), Albert Urias (174) and Jacob Sieder (285) are undefeated versus Pac-12 foes.
* Urias (174) has won six straight, including three times this week and a pair over ranked opponents.  
* Jacob Hansen (184) saw a four-match winning streak come to an end with a pair of losses.
* Sieder (285) has won five of his last six bouts, while Josh Loomer (197) has won five of his past seven.
