Big West Announces Spectrum TV Basketball Lineups

IRVINE, Calif. - The Big West is increasing its linear television coverage in 2022-23, adding a slate of 17 men's and women's basketball contests to air on Spectrum SportsNet this season. Cal State Bakersfield's men's basketball is the beneficiary of two of these changes as the Roadrunners' home games on Dec. 31 and Feb. 25 have been selected for the regional television broadcasts.

Building on the success of last year's ten-game package, this year's schedule features every Big West men's basketball team at least once, with four women's games also added to the television slate. The Spectrum SportsNet package debuts on the opening day of Big West play when the current defending champion Hawai'i women's squad travels to UC Davis on Thursday, December 29.

Four double-header Saturdays are also on tap, starting on New Year's Eve with UC Irvine at CSU Bakersfield and UC Riverside at Long Beach State in afternoon affairs. Other double-headers dot the schedule on Jan. 14 and 21, and Feb. 18.

Three game dates – Feb. 11 and 25, and Mar. 4 – will also see a men's contest on the air on ESPN Networks, as part of The Big West's Wildcard coverage. Should ESPN choose a preselected Spectrum SportsNet game, the slot will be filled by a different basketball contest on the schedule.
