CSUB Returns to Utah for Kelsey Chugg Invite

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – With one tournament of experience in their bags, the Roadrunner golf team will return to action this week with 54 more holes of golf on the schedule. For the second-straight week, CSU Bakersfield is headed back to Utah for Weber State's Kelsey Chugg Invitational, Sept. 20-21.

Bakersfield's last trip to Utah featured the two newest `Runners leading the squad. Transfers Aufa Rachmadya and Jefi Dordevic paced CSUB at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic in Springville, Utah. The pair of international students will be joined this week, once again, by returners Christy Mae Saban, Kaleigh Irey, and Gillian Galicia.

The Kelsey Chugg Invitational will be played in Eden, Utah at Wolf Creek Resort. The golf course is located an hour north of Salt Lake City in a small valley at the foot of Powder Mountain. Accustomed to the warm summer of Bakersfield, the `Runners will have to fight through cold mornings in order to post low scores.

CSUB will join eight other teams, representing the state of California on its own. The tournament will feature 36 holes of golf on Monday, Sept. 20, and one final round on Tuesday.

Golf on both days will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. (PT) in Eden. Fans can follow CSUB in action this week via the live stats page on GolfStat.com.
