Day Three Track & Field Championships Results

IRVINE, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield men and women's outdoor track and field completed a full season healthy with the conclusion of the Big West Championships on Saturday. Julia Stein saw her first finals race in the 400 Meter Hurdles. As a team, CSUB finished the meet with fuel for the future.

Stein stumbled over the eighth hurdle but managed to stay on her feet and finish the race. Director of Track & Field, Cross Country, Marcia Mansur-Wentworth said she was "very proud of her effort."

Corbin Chronister was in a Roadrunners uniform for the last time. He almost made the finals with a season-best toss in discus earning the school's highest finish. Tom Richardson threw a personal best in the event.

"We have a lot to build on," added Mansur-Wentworth, "but after suffering some disappointments I am optimistic we will use it as fuel. Our student-athletes competed with sportsmanship, integrity and character and I couldn't be prouder as their coach."
