Miller, Finch Go Second and Third in Pole Vault

LONG BEACH, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield men and women's outdoor track and field had a trio place Top 3 this weekend at the LBSU Throws/Jumps Fest. Miranda Miller had the highest finish of the group clearing 13'1.75" and taking second place in pole vault.

FRIDAY

Tom Richardson led CSUB on opening day. He placed sixth in shot put (51'1.75") and ninth in hammer throw.

Hugo Santana paced the Roadrunners in hammer with an eighth-place finish in the event.

Jessi Solis placed ninth overall in women's hammer.

SATURDAY

Miller led CSUB on closing day, equalizing the school record she reset last weekend. She and Julianne Finch went second and third on the runway. It was the fifth time the pair finished behind each other this season.

Throwers and pole vaulters return home to prepare with the rest of the team for the Big West Championships.
