Diver Modica Signs with CSUB

Bakersfield, Calif. – Diver Natal Dyson Modica has signed a National Letter of Intent with the Men's Swimming and Diving program at CSU Bakersfield. Modica hails from Littleton, Colo., and attends Rock Canyon High School where he is a two-time state qualifier for the Jags.

"We're excited to have Dyson join our Roadrunner family," said CSUB Director of Swimming Chris Hansen. "He has a lot of room for growth and we are honored he chose to develop at CSUB."

Modica, who has been diving competitively for just three seasons, boasts personal best scores of 357.85 on the 3-meter diving board and 435.90 in the 1-meter discipline. He was a Second-Team All-Colorado selection in 2019.

He also competes for the Altitude Diving Club and coach Grant Robinson.

In addition to diving, Modica also has an extended background in gymnastics and trampoline and is expected to bring high-level athleticism to the Roadrunner diving line-up.

Modica will graduate from Rock Canyon this Spring and join CSUB in the Fall of 2021.
