38 `Runners Earn Academic All-Conference Honors

DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference today announced the 2019 Academic All-WAC honorees from baseball, softball, women's golf and men's and women's outdoor track and field, as well as the freshmen/transfer teams for the fall and winter sports. A total of 38 Roadrunners earned the honor during the spring, raising the overall total to 76 over the 2018-19 academic year.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.

The baseball team led the spring sports with eight selections, followed by women's outdoor track and field with six, women's golf with five and softball and men's outdoor track and field with four each. There were also 11 freshman and transfers from fall and winter sports that earned the honor.
