BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The CSU Bakersfield softball team will look to build off their first victory of the year when the 'Runners head to St. Mary's this weekend for a three-game set in Moraga, Calif.
The Gaels and the Roadrunners will play a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 24 and will wrap up the series on Sunday, Feb. 25.
The `Runners defeated this very same St. Mary's squad 6-5 this past Sunday to finish the Bulldog Classic in Fresno for their first victory of the season.
CSUB is hitting .201 on the season, but
Julea Cavazos and
Paige Johnson have really put the `Runners on their backs offensively and are leading CSUB in hitting at .304 and RBI's with five each. Cavazos has a ridiculous .514 on base percentage (OBP) to lead the 'Runners as well.

Kaylynn Burt is hitting .250, but the senior continues to get on base for the 'Runners with a .471 OBP, to go along with eight walks and her four stolen bases in four attempts lead CSUB as well.

Maddi Clark is hitting .222, but the senior from Fresno has an OBP of .500 and also has driven in three runs.
The doubleheader on Saturday will be played at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and first pitch on Sunday will be at Noon.
