Autumn D’Arcy Sets School Record in 100 Butterfly

LAS VEGAS – CSU Bakersfield freshman swimmer Autumn D'Arcy set the school record in the 100-yard butterfly in the prelims this morning at the UNLV Invite with a 53.68 and reset her own record this evening in the finals with a 53.50 on her way to a first-place finish in the event.

"Autumn D'Arcy, Jayssie Haynes, Tabea Mose and Bridgette Allison shined on night two," said CSUB Director of Swimming Chris Hansen. "These four ladies are on fire right now. The women are here to prove something to the WAC and they are doing just that."

D'Arcy, Haynes, Maddie Cosgrove and Allison teamed up to finish third in the 800 free relay. The group finished the course in 7:27.23, which Hansen said is the fastest mid-season in his tenure.

Haynes also recorded a top-five finish individually, taking fifth in the 400 individual medley in 4:23.99. Sabrina Zavala also finished 18^th in the event (4:33.01), while Lucy Peltz took 22^nd (4:39.84).

Mose cracked the top-five in CSUB history in the 100 backstroke, recording a 56.76 to finish 10^th in the event.

When speaking about the men, Hansen said "Our depth has been off a bit but our relays have been fast. Kris Rogic, Loren Gillilan, Benji Duenas, Justice Kramer, Ryan Brimer and Jake Chir continue to score us points but we need some of the big names to step up tomorrow. They will be ready to go the last day because tomorrow is the best day."

Rogic, Chir, Gillilan and Campbell finished sixth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:30.37. Duenas finished 10^th in the 400 IM (4:03.11) and Kramer took 16^th (4:13.63). Gillilan cracked the top-five with a fifth-place finish in the 100 fly (48.42), and Rogic also took fifth in the 100 back (49.44)

Chir was CSUB's top finisher in the 100 breaststroke, finishing 14^th in 56.97, while Brimer placed 14^th in the 200 free (1:41.33).

The final day of the three-day meet begins at 9:30 a.m. with the finals beginning at 5:00 p.m.
