• The Cal State Bakersfield men’s basketball team dropped a tough road game before earning a convincing victory at home this week. 
• Senior Dailin Smith stepped up for a career week, averaging 26.5 points per game on 45% shooting and 40% from behind the arc. 
• Point guard CJ Hardy remains one of CSUB’s top threats, averaging 17.0 points and 5.0 assists per game this week. 
• Power forward Ronald Jessamy did a little bit of everything with 8.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals, 2.0 blocks, and 1.5 assists per contest. 
• Interim Head Coach Mike Scott promised a more up-tempo offensive approach and the Roadrunners delivered this week, averaging 83.0 points per game as a team.

CSUB 80, Portland State 93 

• The `Runners fell behind early, trailing 42-32 at halftime, and were unable to overcome the red-hot shooting of the Vikings (60% FG, 55% 3FG). 
• Bakersfield pulled within two points of Portland State multiple times in the second half, including with eight minutes remaining, but the `Runners were never able to get over the hump and regain the lead. 
• Dailin Smith paced the `Runners with a career-high 30 points on 9-of-17 shooting, including 4-of-8 from three-point range and 8-of-9 from the charity stripe. 
• CJ Hardy added 21 points and seven assists in the loss. 

CSUB 86, Mississippi Valley State 70 

• The `Runners trailed the Rebels by just 10 points at halftime, but CSUB could not keep pace in the loss to a strong SEC squad. 
• Bakersfield sprinted out of the gate, racing ahead to a 39-22 advantage at halftime. 
  • MVSU was unable to slow the `Runners down in the opening 20 minutes and sent CSUB to the free throw frequently (15-of-23 FT). 
• Smith led the `Runners in scoring for the second-straight game, tallying 23 points against the Delta Devils. 
• Ronald Jessamy added 9 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. 
• Redshirt freshman Mike Price got hot off the bench for a season-high 15 points. 

• The Cal State Bakersfield women’s basketball team earned a pair of hard-fought victories during a Midwest road trip last week. 
• Sophomore Crishawn Coleman has been on a tear recently. She averaged 18.5 points per game and the guard added 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 assists a game. 
• Center Tena Ikidi continues to be a dual threat, averaging 9.0 points and 11.5 rebounds a contest. 
• Veteran `Runner Marley Langi stepped up to the tune of 14.5 points per game this week.

CSUB 82, Omaha 73 

• The `Runners overcame an early deficit to take a double-digit lead before holding on for an impressive victory. 
• Four `Runners tallied double-digit scoring performances, led by Chrishawn Coleman’s 21 points. 
  • Marley Langi (19), Tena Ikidi (16), and Morgan Hawkins (14) were Bakersfield’s other leading offensive options. 
• Ikidi ended up with 16 points and 15 rebounds in the all-around effort, both career highs for the junior. 
• Bakersfield turned 23 Omaha turnovers into 28 points and the `Runners pounded the post with 32 points in the paint. 

CSUB 60, Wichita State 55 

• The `Runners blitzed the Shockers right out of the gate, taking a 24-15 advantage after the first period and leading 42-29 at halftime. 
• Wichita State battled to stay in the game, but every time the Shockers pulled close, CSUB got a big stop or a big bucket. 
• No bucket and stop were bigger than in the final minute. 
  • After WSU and-1 pulled the game within 1 point, Chrishawn Coleman went coast-to-coast and nailed an acrobatic layup to put Bakersfield up 58-55. 
  • On the other end, the `Runners made a vital stop as Marley Langi came up with possession after forcing another Shocker turnover, icing the game. 
• Coleman led all student-athletes with 16 points on the game, 14 of which came in the first half. 
• Hawkins added 12 points while Mangi chipped in 10. 
• CSUB limited Wichita State to 2-of-13 shooting from behind the arc, but a 21-for-28 performance from the free throw line kept the Shockers in the game. 

• The Roadrunner volleyball team wrapped up the 2025 season with a pair of battles on the road. 
• Druegan Davis was Cal State Bakersfield's go-to weapon on offense this week. 
• In her final collegiate matches, Davis averaged 3.33 kills per set on an impressive .381 hitting. 
• Suelen Lima chipped in 2.00 kills and 1.00 blocks per set across the pair of matches. 
• Setter Luiza Da Cruz averaged 5.83 assists, 2.67 digs, and 0.83 blocks per set. 

CSUB 0, UC Riverside 3 

• The `Runners fell short in the three-set sweep in Southern California: 25-17, 25-17, 25-20 
• Druegan Davis paced the `Runners with 10 kills while adding 5 digs. 
• CSUB went toe-to-toe with UCR as both teams posted 7 blocks, but the Highlanders proved to be much more offensively efficient in the victory. 

CSUB 0, UC Davis 3 

• Bakersfield dropped a tightly-contested three-set match against the Big West regular season Champions: 25-17, 25-20, 25-20 
• Davis tallied another 10 kills to lead CSUB. 
• Sabrina Jones chipped in four kills and three blocks. 
• The Aggie offense was nearly unstoppable as UC Davis recorded 53 kills to Bakersfield’s 29. 

•  The Cal State Bakersfield wrestling program hosted the 14th annual Roadrunner Open with three `Runners earning Top 6 placements. 
• Seventh-year Head Coach Luke Smith enjoyed seeing a wide range of `Runners put their best foot on the mat. 
• This year’s Roadrunner Open featured an increase in turnout with 10 teams showing up with a particularly stacked 125-pound field.

CSUB vs. Roadrunner Open 

• The `Runners enjoyed three placers: 
  • True freshman RJ Jones went 4-1 on the way to a third-place finish at 133 pounds. 
  • 141-pounder Santino Sanchez finished in fourth place, dropping a tight match against an NCAA Qualifier, with a 4-2 record on the day. 
  • Devyn Flores-Che earned third place at 157 pounds with a 5-1 record.

• The Cal State Bakersfield swimming teams tackled the NW Collegiate Invitational, their midseason meet with several standout performances. 
• Meanwhile, a pair of Bakersfield divers represented CSUB against some of the best talent in the West at the Trojan Diving Invitational. 
• The Roadrunner men and women, led by four captains on each side, mix great experience with fresh energy and enthusiasm as they embark on the season ahead.

CSUB at Trojan Diving Invitational 

• Two `Runner men represented Cal State Bakersfield at an elite meet: 
  • Nov. 20-22 
  • Los Angeles 
• Senior Anderson Laing and freshman Alma Smith went toe-to-toe with some of the best divers in the West. 
• Smith, a prep star diver, continues to have a great rookie campaign, placing 10th on the 1-meter board, 11th on the 3-meter board, and 14th in his first collegiate platform performance.

 CSUB at NW Collegiate Invitational 

• Bakersfield’s men’s and women’s swimmers tackled a new midseason meet this year: 
  • Nov. 21-23 
  • Boise, Idaho 
• The `Runner men enjoyed several strong performances, including leaders senior Vili Sivec and freshman Karsten Eichler: 
  • Sivec won all four individual events he competed in, resetting meet records in each along the way. 
  • Eichler won gold in the 400 IM and the mile while placing second in the 500 Free 
  • Senior Arthur Amaral Schneider earned gold in the 200 Free and silver in the 100 Free. 
  • Sophomores Carlos Lattanzi and Thomas Henstein each tallied a pair of medals. 
• Bakersfield’s men won four relay races in a dominant showing against the field. 
• The Roadrunner women faced a larger field but still posted strong results, led by freshman Noa Hollebosch: 
  • Hollebosch, who hails from Belgium, won the 200 Free, setting a meet record of her own, and placed second in the 100 Free. 
  • Sophomore Michelle Grabowski earned Top 8 placement in four different events. 
  • Freshman Mayu Yager placed Top 8 in three races, including earning silver in the 1650 Free. 
  • Junior Carolynn Kenney earned two Top 8 finishes, including bronze in the 200 Free. 
• CSUB’s women’s squad earned three Top 3 relay finishes on the weekend.
