2018-19 Women's Basketball Promotional Schedule Released



BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield Athletics has released its full promotional schedule for the 2018-19 women's basketball season, presented by its exclusive healthcare provider Dignity Healthcare. The Roadrunners will host 12 regular-season contests this upcoming season on the new Kern Schools Court. 
 
The promotional slate kicks off Tuesday, Nov. 6 with a Blue Out Game. The Roadrunners host Wright State at 7 p.m. for their season opener. Everyone is encouraged to wear blue. Athletics will have a 2018-19 women's basketball season schedule poster giveaway.
 
Two weeks later, on Nov. 20, CSUB welcomes Whittier at 7 p.m. for Food Bank Frenzy Night. The promotion will highlight Bakersfield's commitment in giving back to the community and features discounted tickets for those who bring canned food to the game. 
 
The nonconference schedule also includes Social Spotlight Night on Nov. 26 against Westcliff (7 p.m.) and Alumni Game on Dec. 31 versus UC Riverside (1 p.m.).
 
The second half of the Roadrunners' schedule will feature Youth Dance Night on Jan. 10 for the conference home opener against UT Rio Grande Valley (7 p.m.), a Golden Game on Mar. 2 when CSUB takes on Grand Canyon (1 p.m.) and Vegas Night on Mar. 7 vs. Seattle U (7 p.m.).
 
In addition, two games have been specified as color-out games. CSUB's Jan. 12 contest against New Mexico State (1 p.m.) will be a Black Out Game and the Feb. 16 game with Kansas City (1 p.m.) will be a Pink Out Game in conjunction with National Girls and Women in Sports Day. 
 
Women's basketball will host its first Education Day on Feb. 14 when the Roadrunners welcome Chicago State to Icardo Center for a 1 p.m tilt. Players on the team will write Valentines Day cards for those in attendance.

The regular season promotional schedule wraps up with Senior Day on Mar. 9 against Utah Valley (1 p.m.). For a full list of information regarding each promotion this upcoming season, click here.
