'Runners Wrap Busy Week At Mt. SAC Relays

TORRANCE, Calif. – The Roadrunner track and field teams had three representatives at the Mt. SAC Relays after qualifying for the annual meet filled with top-quality athletes from around the country.

Sophomore Tim Van Horn led CSU Bakersfield in the men's college high jump with a height of 6-08.75. The mark is Van Horn's third-best of the season and was good enough for sixth on Friday. Junior Joselito Flores was close behind his teammate with a height of 6-06.75 to finish tied for seventh overall.

Senior Justin McKinley placed 17th in the men's college long jump with a best leap of 22-01.50. The mark was McKinley's third-best of the season.

The rest of the Roadrunner track and field teams will head to Clovis, Calif. for the Bulldog Open next week. The all-day meet will take place on Saturday, Apr. 22.
