BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - CSUB Athletics is preparing for its first sellout of the season as the Roadrunners have announced a sellout crowd for men's basketball for their Dec. 8 "Education Day" game against Life Pacific at the Icardo Center.
The game will tip off at 11 a.m. as over 3,000 local elementary and middle school children take a field trip to the CSUB campus to experience a day in college capped by the CSUB men's basketball game against Life Pacific. The day includes campus tours provided by Roadrunner student-athletes and members of the spirit squad.
While season ticket holders will have their seats reserved, many that cannot make the 11 a.m. start time have donated their tickets back to CSUB Athletics. Any season ticket holders that are unable to make the game are encouraged to call 654-BLUE so their tickets can be reassigned for this game.
The `Runners sold out the Icardo Center for the first time in 20 years when they hosted New Mexico State in February of 2016. Since then, CSUB has enjoyed hosting several sellout crowds and hopes that Friday's will be just the first of many in 2017-18.
There will be no walk-up sales nor will student tickets be handed out. Fans unable to attend the game on Friday, Dec. 8Â can listen to the game on 1180AM/96.1FM KERN or watch via the WAC Digital Network.
