California responded with a goal on their two next possessions to lead 10-3 after three. Sierra Smiley scored two her game high four goals in the fourth quarter as the Bears would go onto the victory.
“We have to convert on our 6 on 5s and score on our open looks,” said CSUB head coach Jason Gall. “We were a little confused defensively which led to some goals. If we can learn from our mistakes, we should be in good shape going into next weekend.”
The Roadrunners will host the MPSF Tournament next weekend. CSUB will be the No. 7 seed and play the No. 2 seed, UCLA on Friday at 11 a.m. For complete MPSF Tournament coverage head to GoRunners.com.
