DAVIS, Calif.—No. 5 UC Davis defeated No. 24 CSU Bakersfield 13-7 in the first game of the UC Davis Shoot-Out for the Roadrunners Saturday afternoon.

The Aggies jumped out to a 6-1 first quarter lead and never looked back. UCD led 9-3 at half. The teams each scored four times in the second.  UC Davis was led by Bryn Lutz who had four goals. Carla Tocchini and Allyson Hansen each posted two goals for the Aggies.

Nicola Barrett paced the Roadrunners with a hat trick. Niki De Leon, Ashley Paz, Cassandra Ream, and Ruby Versfeld each scored for CSUB.

The Roadrunners continue tournament play Sunday when they take on Brown at 9 a.m. and No. 12 Pacific at 12:30 p.m.
