BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—The CSU Bakersfield wrestling team returns to action this week with a pair of duals.

The Roadrunners host Cal Poly in Pac-12 action Friday night at 7 p.m. CSUB is wrestling Cal Poly for the 49th time with the Roadrunners leading the all-time series 28-18-2. CSUB has won three of the past four duals including a 29-13 victory last season in San Luis Obispo.

The Mustangs are 1-3, 0-1 in Pac-12 action. Cal Poly is led by 197-pounder JT Goodwin. The redshirt junior is 13-5 this season and has faced CSUB's Reuben Franklin twice already this season. Goodwin defeated Franklin in the finals of the Roadrunner Open before Franklin defeated Goodwin at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.

The Roadrunners will head to San Francisco State on Sunday for a 1 p.m. dual. The Roadrunners lead the all-time series against the Gators 37-3. CSUB has won three in a row after defeating San Francisco State 20-12 a year ago in Bakersfield.

The Gators are 1-2 entering Sunday's action. After taking on CSUB, San Francisco State will face Stanford at 3 p.m. Gator 133-pounder Fern Giron was named D2wrestle.com Super Region IV Wrestler of the Week Jan. 5 after winning his weight class at the Menlo College Invitational last weekend. Freshman 174-pounder, Mike Marshall leads the team in victories with 11.

Entering this week's action, two CSUB wrestlers, Ian Nickell and Bryce Hammond are closing in on 100 career victories. Nickell is now 20th in school history in career victories with 89 (89-40). Hammond has won 83 career matches (83-34), the 27th most in school history.
