BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - CSU Bakersfield men's and women's basketball will appear on several media platforms including radio, television and digital video thanks to an expanded coverage plan for the 2015-16 season.
Television:
CSUB men's basketball will appear on American Sports Network on three occasions, including an unprecedented two home games in 2016. CSUB hosted their first ever nationally-televised broadcast from the Icardo Center in 2015. Following a successful debut, ASN chose the Roadrunners for a pair of home games in 2016.
CSUB will host The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on January 21 at 6 P.M. live on ASN and will also host Utah Valley on Saturday, February 13 at 7 P.M. on the network as well.
CSUB will also be televised during road contests at Arizona State (December 28) on the Pac-12 Network and their January 16 match up at Seattle which will also air as part of the WAC men's basketball package on the American Sports Network.
Radio:
The entire CSUB men's basketball season can be heard once again through a continued partnership with American General Media. Most home and road contests can be heard on flagship station Newstalk 1180 & 96.1 FM KERN. Select broadcasts throughout the season will air on sister station 1230 ESPN Sports beginning with the home opener on Saturday, November 14 vs. San Diego Christian.
Live audio will also be available on GoRunners.com for all home and away contests. Corey Costelloe, Assistant AD for Communications returns for his 13th season as 'Voice of the 'Runners.
Digital:
For the second season, the WAC Digital Network will allow for live video production of several men's and women's basketball home and away contests. Both men's and women's basketball will host six home events from the Icardo Center on WAC DN while two additional men's and three women's road contests will also be available through WAC DN on WACSports.com/live.
In an effort to expand media coverage, an additional seven men's basketball games will be available on the recently-expanded Roadrunner Sports Network. Fans will be able to enjoy a full television experience including multiple cameras and replays as part of the 2015-16 coverage. Both the Roadrunner Sports Network and WAC Digital Networks are available via PC and mobile Apple and Android devices. A Roku app is also available for the WAC Digital Network. The WAC Basketball Tournament March 10-12 at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas will also be carried in its entirety on the WAC Digital Network.
The three remaining women's basketball home games not scheduled for either the WAC of Roadrunner Sports Network will be available through live audio at GoRunners.com. This marks the first time that electronic media coverage will be available for every women's basketball home contest. Adam Resendez returns for his third season calling women's basketball action.
