BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--Tyonna Outland (R-Sr., Compton, Calif., Lynwood HS) begins this week with a chance to become CSU Bakersfield's all-time leading scorer as the Roadrunners host a pair of Western Athletic Conference games this week.
Outland's quest for the record begins Thursday night against Missouri-Kansas City when the tip is set for 7 p.m. Chicago State comes to the Icardo Center on Saturday for a 1 p.m. start.
Outland, a 5-9 wing is nine points away from breaking the all-time scoring mark at CSUB. Outland has scored 1,788 points in her career at CSUB. Katie McElree, 1,796 (2002-06) is the current Roadrunner all-time leading scorer.
Outland reset the school record (Kelly Tarver, 2005-09) for career free throws with her 431st on LIU Brooklyn Dec. 30. She broke Tarver's school mark (472) for career free throws attempted with six against Cal Poly Jan. 3. Outland has 455 career FT and 599 career FTA.
