BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--The CSU Bakersfield women's basketball team travels to UC Irvine Tuesday.

CSU Bakersfield (6-3) defeated UC Irvine (1-8) 80-70 Dec. 3 in Bakersfield to take an 8-2 all-time series lead. The Anteaters dropped their seventh consecutive game Sunday when UCI lost 87-64 to the University of San Diego. Mokun Fajemisin leads the team in scoring (11.3) and rebounding (7.0).  

Alyssa Shannon (Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., Stockdale HS) begins the week ninth in Division I in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.57). She is 31st in Division I in assists (5.6).

Tyonna Outland (R-Sr., Compton, Calif., Lynwood HS) scored 12 points at Omaha Dec. 11 to raise her career total to 1,607. She is now 189 points away from the career leader at CSU Bakersfield, Katie McElree (1,796, 2002-06).
