Box Score BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—Danika Youngblood (Sr., Salt Lake City, Utah, Western Nebraska CC) recorded her sixth double-double in the past seven matches to lead Bakersfield (6-10, 2-1 WAC) to a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-16, 25-16) of Chicago State (6-10, 0-2 WAC) in Western Athletic Conference volleyball action Thursday night.
Youngblood led all players with 14 kills and had 11 digs. The 5-7 outside hitter also added two blocks. Molly O'Hagan (Sr., Tonganoxie, Kan., Tonganoxie HS) posted 11 kills and six blocks while Kelsee Sawyer (Jr., Temecula, Calif., Great Oak HS) had 10 kills, three blocks, and three digs. 'Runner setter Luiza Martins (Jr., Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Western Nebraska CC) directed the CSUB offense to 34 assists while Roadrunner libero Mariah Alvidrez (R-Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Liberty HS) had 12 digs.
Paced by O'Hagan Bakersfield turned in nine blocks, the second most on the season for the squad as the Roadrunner held the Cougars to -.011 hitting for the match (23-24-88). CSUB hit .291 for the night including a .593 mark (18-2-27) in set number two.
The 'Runners turn their attention to Missouri-Kansas City who travels to the Icardo Center Saturday for a 1 p.m. match.
