Biography

2014 (R-SENIOR): Reached the 1,000 career dig plateau with 16 Aug. 29 against Mississippi State...completed indoor season with 1,579 career digs, moving to third in school history during the Nov. 15 match against Seattle U...selected to the All-Tournament team at the Aug. 29-30 Sam Houston State Invite...selected to the All-Tournament team at the Cal Poly ShareSLO Tournament Sept. 12-13...earned season high 31 digs amd a season high six assists at UMKC on Oct. 30.

2013 (R-JUNIOR): Named to the All-Tournament teams at both the Wildcat Classic and the James Madison Classic...her 609 digs are the fourth most in a season in school history...reset career high with 34 digs against Kansas City on Oct. 5, the second most in a five set match on the Division I level for Bakersfield...third on team in aces (23) and assists (113)...CSU BAKERSFIELD SAND VOLLEYBALL: Led team in victories (13-9) playing in the No. 2 slot with Shayna Guitare...reached the semifinals of the Pac-12 Invitational with Guitare.

2012-13 (R-SOPHOMORE):
Led team in digs with 380 on the season, 3.28 per game...was second on the team with 64 assists and also tied for second in service aces with 24...CSU BAKERSFIELD SAND VOLLEYBALL: Selected to Elite Eight for the USA Volleyball U23 Beach National Team...attended the USA Volleyball Beach High Performance Tryouts to earn her Elite Eight selection...went 10-12 on the season with Shayna Guitare at No. 2 doubles, including a 2-1 victory over Nebraska’s No. 2 squad.

2010-11 (FRESHMAN AND REDSHIRT): Immediately made an impact for the Fresno Pacific women's soccer team, leading the team in scoring with eight goals and started 17 out of 18 matches as a freshman in 2010...second on the team with 40 shots and 18 shots on goal...her offensive firepower was on full display in a 5-0 win over Menlo (9/15) as she scored a hat trick...had another multi-goal game, scoring twice in a 3-2 victory at Hope International (9/25)....scored crucial goals in 1-1 ties against William Jessup (9/21) and again vs. Biola (10/20)....also scored in a 3-0 win at San Diego Christian (10/16)...tore her ACL in the spring season of 2011 and was sidelined for 2011.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-sport star at Liberty High School in Bakersfield where she posted impressive varsity careers on the soccer field, on the volleyball court and on the softball field...a volleyball history that includes several Southeast Yosemite League First-Team and MVP honors as she helped the Patriots win three league crowns in her four-year tenure as well as qualify for the CIF Central Section Championship in 2009 under Liberty head coach Leandrea Slayton...also played club volleyball for Club Jamba under coach Tom Clark...performed well in the classroom as well and was named the CIF Scholar Athlete of the Year and honored as the Liberty Female Scholar Athlete of the Yea for the 2009-10 school year.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 30, 1991...daughter of Maureen and Al Alvidrez...a liberal studies major...sister Marissa Cazares played softball for UC Riverside from 2007-11.
