Box Score BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--WAC leader Idaho shot nearly 58-percent from the field as the Vandals defeated Bakersfield 96-69 Saturday afternoon in league play.
The Vandals made 38-of-66 field goal attempts while making 14-of-25 from three point range (56%). Five of the nine players who saw action for Idaho scored in double figures, led by Stacey Barr who had 23 points and eight rebounds.
Bakersfield was led by Melissa Sweat (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Southern Oregon) who scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Tyonna Outland (R-Jr., Compton, Calif., Lynwood HS) scored 13 points. Batabe Zempare (So., Accra, Ghana, Scottsdale Chapparal HS) tallied her fourth double-double of the year as she scored 12 points and nabbed 11 rebounds.
The Vandals outrebounded the Roadrunners 40-32, but CSUB committed a season low nine turnovers compared to 13 for Idaho.
The Roadrunners travel to Chicago State Thursday for a 7 p.m. (CST) start.
