CSUB led 2-0 early in the first period, but the Sun Devils would take a 4-2 lead into the first break. Janelle Shelby's (So., San Diego, Calif., Grossmont HS) third goal of the match got the Roadrunners to within one at the 5:38 mark of the second.

Alicia Brightwell led all scorers with five goals. Jessica Browning (Sr., Lake Forest, Calif., El Toro HS) added two for the Roadrunners.
