BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--No. 6 Loyola Marymount (17-4) defeated CSUB (4-20) in Western Water Polo Association action Mar. 23 at the Burns Recreation and Aquatics Center.

The Lions jumped out to a 7-1 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Bianca Adams (Fr., Ontario, Calif., St. Lucy's Priory HS) recorded a hat trick for the Roadrunners. Taylor Hanson (Fr., Modesto, Calif., Johansen HS) had the other score for CSUB.

Megan Pezzolla (So., Upland, Calif., Bonita HS) made two saves in the first half. Chiyeko Morisaki (Fr., Lodi, Calif., Tokay HS) had two saves in the second half.

CSUB hosts the first Roadrunner Invitational this weekend.  19 matches will be played from Friday-Sunday at the Hillman Aquatics Center. Friday's play begins at 1 p.m. while Saturday and Sunday's action gets underway at 8 a.m. each day.
