Experience Roadrunner Basketball For Free Courtesy of Head Coach Tim La Kose

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Saturday, Jan. 30, CSUB women's basketball Head Coach Tim La Kose would like to personally invite you to experience Roadrunner Basketball for FREE, on him. La Kose will be outside of the Icardo Center beginning at 6 p.m. handing out $1 bills to fans coming to see the 7 p.m. game between the 'Runners and the visiting Cal Poly Mustangs.

CSUB and Kern Schools Federal Credit Union have teamed up to help the Roadrunners break the Icardo Center attendance record by offering $1 vouchers for Saturday's game. These vouchers are available right HERE on GoRunners.com or you can go Kern Schools Federal Credit Union's website ksfcu.org to print off as many vouchers as you would like.

Next, you simply have to bring your voucher to the gate on Saturday, Jan. 30, between 6–6:30 p.m. and Coach La Kose will hand you $1 from his own pocket to gain FREE admission to the game.

“I am very excited about our team this year and really want everyone to have a chance to experience what kind of program we are building here,” said La Kose. “With financial times being as tough as they are, we figured that the best way to get people out is to eliminate that money hurdle. With the help of Kern Schools Federal Credit Union, everyone can experience what a real home court advantage is. When the Icardo Center gets loud, it is a very intimidating place to play in and is truly a unique experience.”

CSUB enters Saturday's game with a 12–9 overall mark. The Roadrunners are in their last season of transition from NCAA Division II to Division I. Prior to making the leap, the Lady 'Runners were one of the nation's elite DII teams and hold the distinction of being the only team in the history of the NCAA to make the postseason championship tournament every year that team was eligible, in any division.

“In just a short amount of time, we have been one of the nation's most successful teams,” La Kose explained. “For 10 years now we have been raising the bar and we want to engage the entire community in what we are trying to accomplish, and that is becoming a top Division I program.”

Simply print this VOUCHER and bring it to Saturday's game at the Icardo Center between 6–6:30 p.m. to meet Head Coach Tim La Kose and have him personally pay for your ticket.
