BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The CSUB women's soccer team was unable to come back from a 1-0 halftime deficit and dropped a Sunday home contest to Seattle University, 2-0. The 'Runners (4-7-1) matched Seattle's (5-2-3) shots on goal total at 5-5 but were behind in corner kicks, 6-2, and overall shots, 14-11.
Madison Collins and Kara Kuttler each found the back of the net for the Redhawks. Freshman Marina Constantinou made three saves in net for the 'Runners while Madison Goverde made five stops for Seattle.
Sophomore Sarah Gaskins led CSUB with three shots, two on goal. Veronica Ramos and Kassi Massey each fired two shots.
The 'Runners will travel to Los Angeles for a match against the defending NCAA National Champion USC Trojans on Thursday. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
