FULLERTON, Calif. — Ryan Davis took first place in the men's shot put on Saturday to highlight Cal State Bakersfield's weekend at the Ben Brown Invitational at Cal State Fullerton.

Davis threw a season-best 58-5 3/4 to win the event. Full results were not available as of 10:15 p.m.

In addition to Davis' win, Nick Umholtz was fourth in the men's hammer throw on Friday at a season-best 195-5. Former Roadrunner Arnaldo Cueto was third with a throw of 211-0.

Freshman Katina Fruguglietti was ninth in a loaded women's hammer competititon in a personal-best 159-8.
