The ’Runner coaches went deep in the heart of Texas to find promising outside hitter Tika Smith...was a three?time district MVP while leading the Mustangs of Sweetwater High School to three District 3 titles; a tri?district title in 2006 and a bi?district title in 2007...named honorable mention All?State as a sophomore and All?State 3A as a senior...All?Big Country MBP as a senior...also selected to play in the Texas Coaches All?Star following her junior season...also earned All?Big Country honors as a basketball player at Sweetwater, though she bypassed her senior season to focus on volleyball.

Personal
Tika plans to major in education at CSUB...hopes to teach and coach after graduation...cousin Nikki Heath played basketball at Texas Tech and her sister, Bennie, is one of the top prep hoops players in her district...parents are Charles and Bennie.
