Biography

2005 – CSUB
Mystie McNaughton made the leap from promising newcomer to veteran star as a sophomore, becoming the libero on the All–CCAA first team in 2005…played in and started all 104 games as a sophomore…led team with 445 digs, good for No. 3 in the CCAA and No. 4 on the Road-runner all–time single season list…finished No. 10 in the conference by averaging 0.44 aces per game…earned CCAA Player of the Week honors for Oct. 17 after averaging 7.5 digs per game in wins over Sonoma State and Cal State Monterey Bay…her 30 digs in the sweep of Sonoma shattered former NCAA Player of the Year Christie Wieneke’s 11–year school and CCAA record and rank in the top 20 in NCAA history…recorded double–figure digs in 26 of 29 matches…served a career–high six aces in a five–game win over Western New Mexico on Aug. 27.

2004 – CSUB
Mystie quickly worked her way into the starting line, alternating between defensive specialist, libero and outside hitter as a freshman…led the team with 280 digs in just 76 games (3.68 dpg)…reached double figures in digs in 13 of 22 matches…had 20 or more digs four times, cracking the 30–dig barrier twice…named CCAA Player of the Week Sept. 19 after averaging 6.1 dpg in her first two collegiate starts…career–high 33 digs came in a win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 20…career high of eight kills came in a win vs. Cal State L.A. on Nov. 10…had six multi–ace matches, including a season–high four in a win at Chico State on Oct. 9.

High School
Mystie came to CSUB from local powerhouse Stockdale High School…named Stockdale’s rookie of the year in 2000, Mystie went on to earn All–Southwest Yosemite League honors as a junior and senior…led the Mustangs to three SWYL championships and the 2003 CIF Central Section title.

Personal
Mystie has not declared a major at CSUB…her sister in law, Stephanie (LaBarge) McNaughton, played four years at CSUB…parents are Brad and Kristie.
