Metro State: Once a Roadrunner, always a Roadrunner in the world of Gabrielle Curtis, who transfers from the Southwest Region power Metro State (Colo.) Roadrunners to Cal State Bakersfield for her junior season in 2006…named the 2005 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Setter of the Year…was a first team AVCA All–Region and honorable mention All–America selection in 2005, when she appeared in all 113 games and averaged 13.1 assists…ranked No. 9 nationally in assists as a sophomore…her 26 aces ranked No. 3 on the team in 2005…RMAC Player of the Week for Sept. 4, 2005…played in 23 matches and started 14 as a freshman in 2004, averaging 7.5 assists and 2.2 digs per game.

High School: Gabrielle graduated from Ralston Valley High School in 2004…also attended Arvada High School…awarded spot on roster in the 2003 Colorado All-State Game…named Jefferson County League Most Valuable Player in 2003 and an all-conference selection three seasons…named to the All-Colorado Team in both 2002 and 2003…set school record for total assists in a season at Arvada High School, recording 573 (9.71 per game)…Named Outstanding P.E. Instructional Assistant.

Personal: Gabrielle is a native of Wheat Ridge, Colo....has a brother, Franklin, and a sister, Micah...Enjoys drawing and ceramics...turns 21 the day the Roadrunners play at Sonoma State (Sept. 9)…lists trail running, hiking and drawing among her hobbies…will major in Biology at Cal State Bakersfield.
