Biography
2005: Jackie Torvestad opened her collegiate career with an impressive freshman season… played in and started in 19 of CSUB’s 20 matches…was one of just three Roadrunners to start 19 or more matches in 2005…also played 1,443 minutes, which was the fourth most of any player at Bakersfield last season, and easily the most by any freshman player…had four shots in her freshman season.
SAN MARIN HS: Torvestad prepped at San Marin HS where she anchored a tough defense…earned team MVP honors and first-team Marin County Athletic League honors for her work on defense…also earned All-MCAL honorable mention honors as a junior.
PERSONAL: Torvestad has not declared a major at CSUB…mother is Elaine Hughes.
