2008: Michelle Martinez played in all 19 Roadrunner contests after sitting out the 2007 season due to transfer rules...finished second on the team in points (6) and goals (3)...scored her first Division I goal in the Roadrunners’ win over Eastern Washington (9/5/08)...tallied the game?winner against Weber State at the UC Irvine Tournament (9/21/08)...recorded her third goal of the season after deflecting an errant pass from the Utah Valley goalkeeper (10/23/08).

Palm Springs HS: Martinez was a four?time All?Desert Valley League first team performer at Palm Springs HS...was named offensive MVP all four seasons...team captured league title in 2003 and placed second in previous seasons twice...also ran track and field...won the U?18 Gold League with JUSA Select in 2003.

Cal State Stanislaus: Martinez tied for the team lead in goals her freshman season under current ?Runners coach Nicole Van Dyke...received a medical redshirt in 2005.

Personal: Martinez is a sociology major at CSUB...plans on teaching and pursuing a master's degree after graduation...interests include writing, poetry, photography and anything involving kids.
