2005: Jennifer Mettler continued her steady play on the pitch as a sophomore…started in all 20 matches…led the team in minutes played with 1,771 — more than 100 ahead of anyone else on the squad…was the only player in 2005 to start all 20 matches and one of just six to play in all 20…also recorded a team-best four assists…one of those assists was for Taylar Sklar’s goal in CSUB’s 1-0 win over Cal State L.A. (09/20/05)… also had an assist on the first goal of the 2005 season when Jill Coburn scored the first of CSUB’s five goals against The Master’s College (08/27/05).

2004: Mettler jumped right into the fray for CSUB, starting 19 of 20 matches at midfield in her freshman season…earned All-CCAA honorable mention honors and was named CSUB Freshman of the Year…one of just four players to play more than 1,600 minutes…scored first collegiate goal in her first collegiate start vs. Westmont (08/30/2004)…played a full 90 minutes for the first time in the next match, an upset win over eventual national champion Metro State (09/02/2004).

NORTH HS: Mettler came to CSUB by way of the North HS basketball squad…is the second player to make that jump, following in the footsteps of former CSUB defender Michele Quigley…helped lead the Stars to two CIF Central Section titles.

PERSONAL: Major is business administration at CSUB…parents are Mark and Katie Mettler.
