Biography

2005: Deena Plach neared CSUB’s all-time assist list after two more helpers in 2005…started six matches with 15 appearances for 710 minutes… currently has seven career assists, which is one shy of Shannon Cole and Alicia Mac who are tied for ninth…assisted the fifth goal in CSUB’s 5-0 blowout over The Master’s College (08/27/05) as well as the lone goal in a 3-1 loss at UC San Diego (09/17/05).

2004: Plach played in all 20 matches making 18 starts…led the team with three assists and was second on the team in shots…scored her lone goal in a 5-0 romp of CSU Monterey Bay (10/15/04).

2003: Plach made her name known around the conference after she led CSUB to a near-comeback in a 4-3 loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills (9/13/03)...scored twice in that match, one of just two players at CSUB to do so in 2003...one goal came on a free kick from 30 yards...scored in a 3-2 loss to Cal State Stanislaus when she curled in a 30-yard bomb on a direct free kick.

CANYON HS: Plach led Canyon HS to the CIF Southern Section Division II semifinals before falling to eventual champion Westlake, 2-0…in 2003, scored 11 goals with nine assists… named to the All-CIF Southern Section Division II second team…also a first-team All-Foothill League selection and was team captain in 2003…was also a second-team All-Foothill League pick in 2002.

PERSONAL: Major is physical education and kinesiology…parents are Roberta and Dan Plach.
