Biography
2011-12 (R-JUNIOR): Joined the basketball team at midseason upon the conclusion of the CSUB volleyball season.
2008-10: Did not compete for the CSUB women's basketball team, concentrated on volleyball for the Roadrunners.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Sweetwater High School...earned All-Big Country honors as a
basketball player at Sweetwater, though she bypassed her senior season
to focus on volleyball...a three-time district MVP in volleyball while leading
Sweetwater High School to three District 3 titles; a tri-district title
in 2006 and a bi-district title in 2007...named honorable mention
All-State as a sophomore and All-State 3A as a senior...named All-Big
Country MVP as a senior...selected to play in the Texas Coaches All-Star
following her junior season.
PERSONAL:
Daughter of Charles and Bennis Smith...a
kinesiology major...given first name is Jamaica...cousin, Nikki Heath,
played basketball at Texas Tech and her sister, Bennie, was one of the
top prep hoops players in her district.
