Ty Outland

Ty Outland will begin her second season as an assistant coach at CSU Bakersfield this Fall of 2018.

Outland is one of CSUB's most decorated player in women’s basketball history. She holds the CSUB records and tops the list for total points (2,078), field goals (722), free throws (528), free throws attempts (709), and games played (132). She also ranks third in steals (231) and rebounds (627) and fourth in assists (310).

During her career, Outland earned several accolades including WBCA Division I All-American Honorable Mention and First Team All-Western Athletic Conference in 2014 and 2015. She graduated from CSUB with a degree in criminal justice.

In 2015, Outland started her professional career in the summer where she participated in training camp with the Los Angeles Sparks. She was the first Roadrunner to sign a WNBA contract after agreeing to terms as an undrafted free agent. Later that summer she signed a contract with Ciudad de la Adelantados of Spain's LF-2 league where she earned Guard of the Year in her first season. The following season she rejoined Adelantados and, after returning from a torn meniscus, helped turn the season around and led the team to a first-place finish in the regular season.

Outland grew up in Compton, Calif. and went to Lynwood High School where her jersey has been retired for her accomplishments. She led the Knights to three San Gabriel Valley League Championships and was named first team all-league as well as league MVP as a senior.
