Biography

2015-16 (SENIOR): Became the seventh active Division I player with 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds as the 6-2 forward led CSU Bakersfield to a 76-67 victory over Grand Canyon Feb. 25...hit a pair of free throws with 6:39 to play in the fourth quarter to reach the 1,000 career-point plateau...the 6-2 forward, who entered the night 18 away from 1,000 points, scored a game high 23 points...her 1,056 career points are the ninth most in school history.

Zempare is the CSUB career rebounding leader with 1,125 career rebounds. She broke the old record of 683 set by Heather Garay from 2001-03. 862 of her 1,125 total rebounds have occurred during CSUB’s time as a member of the WAC and is good for ninth all-time in conference history...was named WAC Player of the Week on three occasions this season (five for her career), College Sports Madness WAC Player of the Week twice and was selected to the All-Tournament team at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown.

Zempare became the 10th CSUB player to appear in 100 career games on Dec. 30, 2015 when she started against Hawai’i and now appeared in 117 games in a ‘Runner uniform, the seventh most in school history.

2014-15 (JUNIOR): Selected by WAC Coaches and by the media covering the WAC first team preseason All-Conference...selected preseason first team All-Conference by CollegeSportsMadness.A 2015 second team All-Conference selection...named first team All-Conference by College Sports Madness...led team and the WAC in rebounding and finished 38th in Division I in the category (9.9)...led WAC and was 27th in Division I in double-doubles (14)...her 22 career double-doubles are the most of any active WAC player...posted at least 10 rebounds in her career 34 times, the most of any WAC player...broke the school record for career rebounds with seven at UTPA Jan. 17...enters senior season with 813 career rebounds which broke the old mark of 683 (Heather Garay, 2001-03)...averaged 9.5 points per game.

2013-14 (SOPHOMORE): Scored 13 points and had 10 rebounds at Oregon State Nov. 11...charted second straight double-double with 16 points and grabbed 19 rebounds against Concordia-Irvine (Nov. 20)...tallied third double-double of the year with 11 points and 12 rebounds against Fresno Pacific on Dec. 30...sent game into overtime at Cal State Northridge on Jan. 2 with a basket with .3 seconds remaining in regulation...tallied fourth double-double of the year with 12 points and 11 rebounds against Idaho Jan. 18...fifth double-double of year came Jan. 30 when she recorded a career high 26 points and grabbed 18 rebounds against New Mexico State...reset her own school record for most rebounds in a game with 21 and scored 14 points for sixth double-double of the year against UTPA on Feb. 1...named WAC and College SportsMadness Player of the Week for her peformances upon the conclusion of the week...recorded her seventh double-double at Seattle U as she scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds on Feb. 15...finished 24th in Division I in rebounding at 10.6 per game...led the team and the conference in the category...is the Bakersfield Division I record holder for most rebounds in a season (289)...team leader in field goal shooting (50.0)...fourth on the team in scoring (8.5).

2012-13 (FRESHMAN):
Named CollegeSportsMadness Independent Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Jan. 7...second on the team in rebounding (8.0)...averaged 5.6 points per game, shooting 79.1% (34-43) from the free throw line...posted first career double-double with a season best 17 points and 12 rebounds at Pacific Dec. 31...grabbed a season best 16 rebounds against New Orleans Mar. 2...went for double figure rebounds for a third time at Nevada Jan. 5.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chapparal High School...coach was Brian Porth...averaged 17.8 points and 14.5 rebounds per game as a senior...averaged 14.1 points and 13.6 rebounds per game as a junior...selected All-City in both basketball and track...earned team MVP honors.
