Biography

2017-18 (SENIOR): Started in 20 of 30 games played…Averaged 7.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, and 19.9 minutes played per game…Ranked 65th in NCAA Division I and third in the WAC in blocks…Led the WAC in field goal percentage by more than 5% (101-148, .682)…Posted career-high 16 points at Alaska-Anchorage Nov. 22…Pulled down season-high seven rebounds vs. UTRGV Jan. 11…Tied career-high with five blocks twice: at Fresno State Dec. 5 and at Grand Canyon Mar. 3…Led team in scoring three times...Named to WAC All-Defensive team for second-straight season...Reset CSUB all-time career blocks record with 109 and finished second in field-goal percentage (.673).

2016-17 (JUNIOR): Helped CSUB reach school's first National Invitational Tournament and become first No. 8 seed in NIT history to reach NIT semifinal…played big role to help CSUB defense to be ranked in Top 15 in NCAA Division I in steals (286) and turnovers forced (16.6) per game and field goal percentage defense (37.2)…ranked 53rd in NCAA DI in blocks (1.81) while leading WAC despite playing just 12.3 minutes per game…recorded season-best five blocks vs. UTRGV Feb. 11…named to WAC All-Defensive and All-Newcomer teams…averaged 2.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game while shooting 64.6% (31-of-48).

2014-16 (JUNIOR COLLEGE): Spent the last two seasons at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kan., and was a member of the 2016 squad that reached the NJCAA National Championship Final before falling to Salt Lake City…started all 37 games for the Blue Dragons last season and was known for his defense and ability to protect the rim…recorded 55 blocks as a sophomore (1.5 per game) and finished his two-year career with 114 blocks, sixth-most in program history.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kan…played for coach Kyle Lindsted…Buffaloes were 19-7 during senior season.

PERSONAL: Born on April, 8 1995 in Alexandria, Egypt...played on the 2012 FIBA Africa Championship team for his native Egypt...a liberal studies major with plans to play professionally following his time at CSUB.
