2024-25 (JUNIOR): Appeared in all 33 games for CSUB, starting in 26... Made his Division I collegiate debut versus California on Nov. 4 playing in 34 minutes and scored 22 points (9-15 FG, 2-3 3FG, 2-4 FT) grabbed five rebounds, while dishing out four assists, and recording two steals... Reset a multitude of records in his first season at Cal State Bakersfield, including in 45-point (12-22 FG, 6-11 3FG, 13-16 FT)Â outburst in the comeback victory over CSUN on Jan. 11 where he reset Kenny Warren's single-game scoring record (40 points versus Grand Canyon, 3/12/1993), also had two steals, two assists, and two rebounds in the win... Reset Kaleb Higgins' CSUB DI single-season scoring record (572, 2023-24) scoring his 573rd point at Cal Poly on March 1... Reset the CSUB DI single-season scoring average record with 18.9 points per game, previously held by Kaleb Higgins (17.9, 2023-24)... Reset the all-time field goals made record (228, 1996-97) previously held by Bakersfield's only NBA Draft Pick, Kebu Stewart; Jones finished the year with 237 field goals made... Scored in double figures in every game but four, Jones scored 15+ in 20 of the 33 games played... Earned Big West Player of the Week on March 3 after averaging 25.5 points versus Long Beach State and Cal Poly, including his buzzer-beating shot for the 88-87 win over the Beach as he finished the game with 37 points (14-23 FG, 8-11 FT) with five rebounds and three assists... Earned All-Big West Second Team and All-Big West Newcomer of the Year... Averaged 18.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists in 27.0 minutes per game while shooting 47.8% from the floor, 35.2% from the arc, and 85.7% from the free throw line.
PRIOR TO CSUB: Competed at South Suburban after transferring from Olive-Harvey… Had a decorated career prior to committing to Cal State Bakersfield... Earned 2023-24 NJCAA II National Player of the Year, MVP of the Midwest District A Tournament, All-Tournament team at the NJCAA Natioanl Championship Tournament, Region IV-A Player of the Year, NABC Two Year College Player of the Year, and earned back-to-back nods as a NJCAA II All-American in the 2022-23 season with Olive Harvey and in 2023-24 with South Suburban.... Helped lead the Bulldogs to a 34-3 record... Averaged 33.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists per contest... Had a season high 56 points versus Bosco Institute, eleven days later scored 51 points versus Black Hawk College-Moline... Finished first in defensive rebounds (273), total rebounds (362), assists (207), steals (122), points (1,245), and points per game (33.6)... Has a career total of 1,999 points.
