2005: Manny Garcia was one of several impact freshmen on CSUB’s squad in 2005 in which he played an intergral role in the Roadrunners’ strong midfield…played in 19 of 20 matches with 15 starts…his 1,347 minutes played was second-most by all freshmen at CSUB…scored one goal with two assists…lone goal came in CSUB’s 2-1 upset of No. 21 UC San Diego (10/12/05)…had assists in two of the first four matches of the season and both of which were 3-2 victories...picked up his first career start on the road in a 3-2 win over Western Washington (09/03/05).

MATER DEI HS: Garcia was a three-year letterwinner at Mater Dei HS…as a senior, Garcia earned first-team All-Serra League honors as well as being named to the Orange Country Register’s first-team…helped the Monarchs to the CIF Southern Section Division I finals in 2003.

PERSONAL: Major is criminal justice at CSUB… parents are Richard and Lolly Garcia.
