2013 (R-JUNIOR): Started first 10 matches at defender before sitting the next five due to injury...returned to the pitch in time for the final three matches of the regular season...took first shot of season at Sacramento State on Sept. 6...took one shot at UNLV on Oct. 6.

2012 (R-SOPHOMORE): Started eight times in first 10 matches before being lost for season due to a knee injury...selected Academic All-Conference.

2011 (R-FRESHMAN): Appeared in 14 matches, starting seven times including the NCAA Tournament match against Saint Mary’s...took his first shot of season against UNLV Oct. 21...took a shot at Denver Oct. 28.

2010 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt at Bakersfield.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Stockdale High School...coach was former CSUB head coach Dave Atkinson...selected as Stockdale's MVP in 2009 and earned the team's Varsity Coach's Award in 2007...team won Valley Championship in 2010  and Southwest Yosemite League Championship in 2007...A member of the LAFC Chelsea Academy 18's...was a member of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.

PERSONAL: Born Apr. 2, 1992...son of Diego Garces, Jr. and Jerri Dawn Garces..a communications major.
