Biography
2006: Zack Grasmick became a vital cog in the Roadrunner machine as a sophomore, playing in all 29 games and starting 12…played at least 30 minutes eight times and played all 40 minutes twice, joining Randall Harding as the only other ’Runner to accomplish that feat…made his living behind the arc, nailing 44 treys at a .393 clip…made at least four threes in four games, including a career–high six in a win at then nationally–ranked Grand Canyon (12–13–05)… scored in double figures six times…career–high 18 points came in the win at Grand Canyon …career–high seven rebounds came in a win over San Francisco State (1–13–06).
2005: ’Runner fans caught just a glimpse of Grasmick’s potential in 2005…the long–range specialist knocked down 13 threes as a freshman, including four multi–three games…season–high nine points came at Cal Poly Pomona (2–11–05)…also proved to be a capable passer and rebounder, dishing a season–high three dimes against Cal State San Bernardino (2–4–05) and grabbing four boards at Cal State Stanislaus (1–28–05)…made his first collegiate start vs. UC San Diego (2–5–05).
High School: Grasmick came to CSUB as a true freshman after a stellar career at Granite Hills High School in Porterville…scored more than 1,500 career points for the Grizzlies and averaged 23 points per game as a senior…added 6.5 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 5.2 assists per game in 2004…was one of the top three–point shooters in the Say No Classic league after his senior season…named the Tulare County Player of the Year by the Visalia Times–Delta after leading Granite Hills to its first East Yosemite League title…also lettered in baseball as a pitcher and shortstop.
Personal: Grasmick is majoring in liberal studies at CSUB…was an honor roll student every semester in high school…recipient of a Governor’s Award scholarship…graduated with a 3.45 gpa…goal is to become a coach and high school teacher.
