San Francisco State: Robert Hayes will redshirt for the Roadrunners after helping to turn around the program at San Francisco State over the past two seasons…earned All–CCAA honors as a freshman and a sophomore after being named the conference’s Freshman of the Year in 2008…became the first Gator in any sport to be so honored…averaged 15.9 points per game in 2009, including a career–high 30 at CSU Dominguez Hills (1–9–09)…made 15 (of 16) free throws in that game…scored in double figures in 23 of 28 games, scoring 20 or more points nine times…had six assists and five steals in a win over CSU Stanislaus (12–5–08)…led the Gators by averaging 12.1 ppg as a freshman…scored a season–high 26 points in a win over Cal Poly Pomona…also led the team with 50 steals and finished second with 61 assists that season…scored 14 points in an exhibition upset of CSUB in his first collegiate appearance.

St. Augustine High School: Hayes was a McDonlad’s All–America nominee as a prep player at St. Augustine’s High School in San Diego…led St. Augustine to the CIF Southern California Div. III sectionals as the Western League Player of the Year in 2007…also played football in high school.

Personal: Hayes is majoring in liberal studies at CSUB.
