Bakersfield College: After redshirting the 2007 season, Jonathan Machado returned to the hardwood to play his sophomore season at Bakersfield College in 2008...averaged 8.7 points and 6.1 assists per game for the Renegades last season.

Fresno City College: Machado played his freshman season for former Roadrunner Vance Walberg at Fresno City in 2006...averaged 3.5 points and 1.8 assists per game while helping the Rams to a 33?6 record and the Central Valley Conference title.

North High School: Machado prepped at Bakersfield’s North High School where he was one of the best players in the history of the Stars’ basketball program...finished his prep career as North’s all?time leading scorer with 1,540 points...averaged 19.4 points per game as a senior...chipped in 5.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists while being named the area player of the year by the Bakersfield Californian...also named the Southwest Yosemite League Player of the Year while leading the Stars to the SWYL title.

Personal: Machado is majoring in physical education and kinesiology at CSUB...is a native of Los Angeles...birthday is April Fool’s Day.
